Colombia La Aldea Washed
La Aldea returns to our offer.
This time in a medium roast for espresso.
We had the opportunity to visit Wilson Ordoñez’s farm and coffee lab in San Augustín (Huila region) at the end of October and were delighted.
The farm is situated at an altitude of approximately 1,850 m above sea level and Wilson farms about 4 hectares.
The farm’s coffee is hand-picked by the farmer’s relatives, who ensure the consistent quality of the cherries picked.
After harvesting, the coffee cherries are fermented for 48 hours in an open tank along with the must left over after fermentation of the geisha variety.
The flavour has the sweetness of caramelised cane sugar, complemented by the taste of tropical fruits, especially mango.
In the aroma you will find meadow flowers.
