Andrés Salaverría belongs to the young generation of farmers.
Since childhood, he has been enthusiastic about the idea of one day growing coffee for a living.
His family has been in the coffee business for more than a century and has farms in several regions of El Salvador.
He has been in the family business for 11 years and has a master’s degree in coffee economics.
After returning to El Salvador in 2011, he focused on the business, industrial and administrative aspects of coffee farms.
The coffee at the San Francisco farm is shade-grown and selectively harvested by hand, with only fully ripe cherries being picked.
Social and environmental activities play an important role in the daily operations of the farm and the family business.
They always strive to provide the surrounding communities with health services and infrastructure for educational activities.
