Goriffee is 6 years old this month. Unbelievable how time flies, we are officially getting old! And such an anniversary deserves a recapitulation.

In 6 years many things have gone wrong and often times we have gone down a blind path that has slowed us down, like our other cafe that we closed over a year ago. Or the beer window on Nedbalova Street, where we fell for the scammers. But such situations teach you, make you stronger and more persistent.

What has been achieved, however, is much more. For the second year we are successfully operating in a new roastery, although after two years it is probably not so “new” anymore. Kaffeehaus on Panenska Street is 5 years old this month, which is absolutely amazing considering we went there with very modest ambitions. We have professionalized many of our activities, expanded our team of friendly and capable colleagues, and we are extremely proud of the results of our “less waste” activities, where we have saved thousands of containers from going directly to landfill or incineration thanks to reusable coffee boxes.

I can’t fail to mention our partners, without whom we wouldn’t be where we are. We are very happy that the best cafes all over the country trust us, such as Urban House, Mr. Králiček, Thalmeiner or Leroy. But also abroad, and we regularly send coffee all over Europe, from Uppsala to Berlin to Warsaw. We can say that our last year’s participation in events such as Coffeefest Amsterdam or World of coffee in Berlin made sense.

As I write this blog, I have to say that we are staring into the future with positivity and courage.
