We are doing our best to reduce our footprint. It is a fact that coffee packaging is a disposable consumer good and people throw it away as soon as the contents are consumed. The biggest problem with conventional coffee packaging is that it is not separable and therefore not recyclable, as it has both a metal and a plastic layer. Often even a paper label.
That’s why we have taken the step to ensure that our packaging is 100% recyclable. The new packaging is already made of one type of plastic that can be separated and recycled, including the labels. We realise that this is only the first step. Next, we have to move to biodegradable packaging. But only in a few years’ time, when we are sure that they will actually decompose and break down into organic matter only.
Another even more important step will be to get as many people as possible to buy their coffee by weight, in their own packaging. That’s why a few months ago we introduced these great silicone pouches that are completely waterproof and airtight. At the same time, they don’t take up much space. And to make matters worse, you can wash them in the dishwasher.
Or for larger volumes, we have introduced returnable boxes, which have already saved thousands of packages.

We want to continue in this direction in the future and we believe that thanks to the right choice of packaging, the promotion of waste free sales and reuse, we will be able to reduce the waste from our roastery to a minimum.
