Certified organic espresso

This coffee comes from the Korofeigu farmers’ cooperative. This group of farmers operates in Ben Ben Valley. A group of individual farmers formalized for cooperation in 2010 in response to an organic certification program. Since then, the cooperation has grown from 97 smallholders operating on an agricultural area of 112 hectares to more than 1,700 growers farming around 2,000 hectares in 2020.

This rapid growth illustrates the impact Korofeigu Organic’s certification program has had on participants’ livelihoods. In addition to a higher coffee premium, they have access to farm training as well as regular social and health workshops.
