Rwanda Gasharu Anaerobic
After a year, the legendary Rwanda Gasharu coffee has reappeared in our offer.
Celestine Rumenerangabo was a key figure in the reconstruction of the region after the 1994 genocide and now operates 2 different processing stations in western Rwanda.
He and his family are committed to raising the standard of living of coffee growing and processing families through an emphasis on quality, innovative processing techniques and direct trade.
The Gasharu processing station, located near Lake Kivu, employs nearly 300 women and collects coffees from 1,650 local coffee growers in the Nyamasheke region.
This experimental lot has been named in Gasharu with the Rwandan word Impano, or Gift.
And indeed, when you taste the potential of this 100h anaerobically fermented coffee, nothing would describe it better than the word dar.
This is a truly fruity coffee that will intoxicate you with the sweetness of yellow melon combined with the flavours of papaya and passion fruit.
Rwanda Gasharu anaerobic coffee beans are ideal for filter brewing.
